The Entertainment Beat with Frances Gumm - #11

Dry your eyes, chickens. This week's show includes a heartfelt "valentine" to Joseph Mankiewicz, lively discussion of the restored Liza with a Z, and a rip-roaring performance of a classic Streisand/Summer disco anthem featuring special guest Carol Channing.

There is - of course - much, much more.

OMG! I can't get through the first 3 minutes with out tearing up and laughing outloud. Sound's as if you'r going to have Lillian Gish on for a guest? LOL!And im sure that solitair's not all Liza does with her laptop! LOL! I'll be playing this epeisode all week as well. Hope thier as effortless to produce as it sound's. Im sure (not)

Listening to Judy riff about her past loves and MGM was inspired...loved the "Make Garland Mental" line.

Glad to see Carol back...their duet was excellent! {Where can I buy the CD?}

It was nice to hear My Funny Valentine again, too.

All in all a fun show...thanks!

I think Frances left more than her cake out in the rain...

And I predict a new sensation in the underground club scene.

Wonderful Show!

Back in brilliant form for this episode. I've played the first few minutes over and over again, and I haven't stopped laughing.

I really liked the de-emphasis on the plugging (Podcast Alley, iTunes, etc) and viewer mail -- seems like with this episode you've struck a better balance with that and the content.

Can't wait for the next one!

Great show, darling!

So how did it feel to be the first image on last night's Oscars telecast?

And I can't tell you, cherie, how glad I am that they're playing on of yourt movies every night this month on TCM France. Girl Crazy was fantastic to watch!

maybe for the sake of conversation, you could do like 3 listiner feedback's a show, instead of 5 or 6, way to much. Im sure glad you got distracted by Tetris instead of looking for "those comment's" LOL!!!We sure wouldn't want to miss any important listner feedback, like from important, famous people, or an important comment. Keep up the quality programming Joot's

What a genuinely touching show. So grateful to hear Judy's heartfelt memories of Joe. Delghtful, giving us more insight to our girl.

So grateful to you.

"If manipulative." Devastatingly brilliant. As usual.

Thanks, guys!
